I’m a postdoctoral scholar at Syracuse University, working to improve the sensitivity of the LIGO detectors with Stefan Ballmer.
My research interests lie in the emerging field of gravitational wave astronomy. I develop advanced measurement technologies to improve future gravitational wave detectors, and study the potential use of gravitational wave data alongside electromagnetic observations to explore some of the most extreme environments in the universe.
Prior to joining the Syracuse group, I completed my Ph.D. at University of Michigan. My thesis was on commissioning the Advanced LIGO interferometer and searching for gravitational waves from unassociated gamma-ray sources identified by the Fermi telescope.
